Matthew Brown is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing individual, couples, and group therapy in north county San Diego. Matthew holds a MA in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. He also is a Graduate from the University of Utah, with a BA in sociology. Matthew is licensed in the state of California to practice therapy, license number LMFT113303. Matthew is licensed in the state of California as a substance abuse counselor CADAC II.

Matthew Brown has training in the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), substance abuse/dependence, domestic violence for both survivors and perpetrators. Matthew utilizes a Client Centered approach and meets each client with compassion and empathy; Understanding that each client has self determination to choose their own path.

Matthew is passionate about helping people achieve their personal goals of reducing symptoms related to mental health diagnosis, family dysfunction, trauma, workplace issues, and substance abuse relates issues.  Matthew has experience working with veterans, survivors of trauma, people with severe mental illness, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and substance abuse/dependence.
